… For our events, the following modes of backcountry travel are strongly recommended: Alpine Touring (Randonee), Telemark, and Splitboard. For snowboarders just getting in to the backcountry arena, you can start by strapping your board to your pack and walking in snowshoes, but be aware that this is a slow mode of travel.
