The Ottawa Travel Group April Meetup

Tonight's Presentation: Portugal

Hello fellow Travel Enthusiasts!

Please come and enjoy my slide show of the 12 day tour of Portugal my wife and I did in 2006.

It is a country of astonishing diversity, idyllic weather and welcoming people. Not to mention picture-postcard scenery with a rugged windswept coastline, pristine beaches where fishermen mend their nets beside brightly painted sardine boats, cobbled streets, dazzling whitewashed houses and fairytale castles in historic, medieval cities like Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.

You will want to put Portugal on your travel itinerary!

Graeme

IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING RSVPs:

If you have indicated 'Maybe' in your RSVP response, we request that you confirm your attendance 1 week prior to the Meetup. At that time (or any time before), please change your RSVP to a 'Yes' or 'No'.

If your initial response was 'Yes' and you are not able to attend, please change your RSVP to 'No' as soon as possible.

Because accommodation space is limited, your co-operation concerning this matter will make it much easier for the organizers to plan the evening. Thank you for your understanding.

My friend isn't coming with me this time around... So, it will be just me! Looking forward to my first travel meeting.. Jane

Who attended?

    •  Great group of people. Lots of stories flowing in respect to recent travels by members and exchange of information on related topics [travel websites, cameras, clothings etc]
    •  Congratulations Peter! A very well organized meeting with lots of information and great laughter. Thanks to Graeme who brought back memories of my trip to Portugal.
    •  Great evening Peter. This was my first meeting. I found the Trivia Challenge to be an excellent ice breaker. The questions were entertaining and educational. Graeme's presentation on Portugal was great. I look forward to the next Meetup.
    •  It was super.. Very well run.. people were friendly and much travelled.. I will be back..
    •  Loved the trivia and presentation by Graeme. I will add Portugal to my travel wish list. Loved the idea of doing a wine tasting meeting sometime.
    •  Graeme's presentation on Portugal was very interesting. His photos were gorgeous and perhaps quite enticing for many of us to visit there one day. The trivia continues to be somewhat tough (about half of the time) but fun and engaging. Peter, you still continue to be a jovial host to the meetings.
    •  I did a presentation on Portugal and enjoyed the discussion afterwards. Good to meet and talk to the new members.
    •  Great presentation Graeme. I can't wait until your next one on Central America. I enjoyed meeting and talking with all the new members. This is turning out to be a very interesting group. 'Thank you' to all who attended. Your participation is what makes the 3rd Tuesday of the month an evening to look forward to.
    •  I liked the presentation, but I'm not too excited about the weekly quiz. I'd rather have more time to talk to people informally.
    •  Excellent presentation on Portugal - when do we leave. The South African wine host seems like a good addition to the club - it was a great idea to invite him I was happy that my group won (I'm not at all competitive - eh!) the trivia contest.
