Nomad Chicks May Meetup

Hi everyone

Would be great to catch up with as many of you as possible to enthuse over the trips you took during the first May bank holiday and to discuss what you have planned for the second. This seems a great time for us all to swap tips!

In response to those of you who have been asking for a meetup location a little further west, I have picked an airy pub called The Union Bar which is located just by the canal in Paddington and has outdoor seating should the weather be fine. It's got great food and is a 5-minute walk from Paddington station. Have a look on the website. Directions are below.

I have booked a corner by the table from 7pm - so far, I have booked only for 15 people (in case there are drop outs) but I am sure we can commandeer more space if there are more of us (it's a reasonably large space and I can't imagine it will be very full on a Tuesday night). Plus, if the weather is nice, we can sit outside!

DIRECTIONS TO THE UNION BAR

From Paddington tube and train station, find the exit for "Sheldon Square". For those getting the Hammersmith and City line, the exit for Sheldon Square is immediately to the LEFT after the turnstiles - it's VERY CLEARLY MARKED.

For those coming by train, the exit to Sheldon Square seems to be located ABOVE Platform 8 (ie one level above ground level).

Once you have exited Paddington and you are following signs for Sheldon Square, it's very simple to find The Union Bar. Just keep following the signs for Sheldon Square. The Union Bar is about a 5 minute walk from the Paddington exit.
