Nomad Chicks June Meetup

Hi everyone - sorry for the delay in choosing a venue for this month's meetup - I have been waiting to see what the weather will be like. Despite some glorious weather during the last couple of days, it seems it will be only partially sunny (but 25 degrees!) on Sunday so we don't have guaranteed picnic weather :(

So, I have chosen the Boathouse Cafe in Regents Park on the basis that:

1. It's a nice location next to the Boating Lake
2. It has an outdoor seating area (which I haven't reserved in case we move on) where we can sit /stand / perch comfortably should it be warm but not quite sunny enough for a picnic
3. We can de-camp to a grassy space should the weather forecasters prove to be wrong and it's sunny enough for a picnic after all!

So, here's the plan: I shall be there at 2pm and wearing a yellow top. If it looks really sunny that day before you come to meet us (akin to the weather we have had Tues-Thur of this week), then assume we are having a picnic and please bring whatever food or drink you would like to consume in the park (and also something to sit on if you think the grass might be a bit damp).

Those of us who are on time, we'll hang around for a short while for everyone before finding a nice grassy area nearby.

If you're coming later, just call or text me on 0780 9200 744 to let me know and I'll look out for you. If you missed us at the Boathouse Cafe, don't worry! We are bound to be relatively nearby!

For a map of where the Boat House Cafe is, please look at the pdf map on the Regents Park section of the Royal Parks website. It's a colour map with pictures - look for the Boating Lake which is the bottom left side of the park (the lake is a V-shape and the Boat House Cafe is towards the top left of the V). The closest tube is Baker Street but Marylebone and Regents Park tube stops are also close. I don't think the Jubillee line is working this weekend unfortunately.
