It's not a specific holiday to the Philippines, but what a good reason to try a great filipino byob place!
Isla Pilipina (which translates to "Philippine Islands") is a quaint, cool (possibly the coolest), comfortable (possibly the most comfortable) restaurant 'strategically' located in a small plaza in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.
In the kitchen, Chef Mario Nunez (Barrio Fiesta, Cebu Restaurant, Makati Hilton) serves up authentic Philippine and Spanish/Chinese-inspired Philippine cuisine. With over 30+ years of experience, Chef Mario certainly knows a thing or two about good food.
Hope to see you all there!
Thanks,
Yumi
