17th Annual Great Chefs Tasting Party – Volunteers Needed!

This is a Volunteer Advent. MATS members have volunteered in the past to help out United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago at the Taste of Chicago for many years. Christi Andriano has asked us to help out again.

Chef Check In:
1:00 - 6:00pm
Responsibilities include welcoming the chefs and their staff to the event, distributing gift bags, directing the chefs to their designated areas and assisting the chefs by making sure they have all of their requested materials/equipment.

Greeters :
4:00 - 8:00pm (with a dinner break)
Responsibilities include greeting guests as they enter the hotel and directing them to the event. A Chef Hat and Apron will be given to wear the duration of the e vent. (You do not need to wear them on your break!)
Registration/Check-In:
1st Shift - 3:30-7:0 0pm
2nd Shift - 6:00-9:00pm
Responsibilities include checking in guests at the registration table.
Silent Auction - Table Manager:
4:00 - 9:00pm ( with a dinner break)
Responsibilities include keeping an eye on the it ems up for auction, assisting guests in the bidding process and running ite ms to the closeout area and organizing them by catalog number at the end of the night.
Silent Auction - Computer/Close Out:
7:00 - 9:30pm (dinner to be taken prior to shift)
Responsibilities include entering winning bids and collecting payment for winning items.
Security:
3:30 - 9:00pm (with a dinner break)
Responsibilities include checking guest wristbands at the entrance and keeping an eye out for "party crashers".
Set Up:
11:30 - 4:30pm
Responsibilities include assisting in t he set up the silent auction, decorations, chef stations, and registration area. If you are working Set Up only, dress code does not apply. ; Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
