Announcing a new meeting for Midwest Adventure Travelers Club!
What: monthly ethnic dinner - filipino byob When: Thursday, May 15, 7:00 PM Where: Click the link below to find out! Meeting Description: Please join us for our monthly ethnic dinner: Thu, 15 Apr 7:00pm drinks (byob), 7:30 dinner Isla Pilipino Restaurant 2501 W Lawrence Ave, Unit D Chicago, IL 60625 May 1 - Araw ng Manggagawa (Labor Day) It's not a specific holiday to the Philippines, but what a good reason to try a great filipino byob place! Isla Pilipina (which translates to "Philippine Islands") is a quaint, cool (possibly the coolest), comfortable (possibly the most comfortable) restaurant 'strategically' located in a small plaza in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. In the kitchen, Chef Mario Nunez (Barrio Fiesta, Cebu Restaurant, Makati Hilton) serves up authentic Philippine and Spanish/Chinese-inspired Philippine cuisine. With over 30+ years of experience, Chef Mario certainly knows a thing or two about good food. http://islapilipina.c... http://www.yelp.com/b... Hope to see you all there!
