John thought it had been more than a month since our last Icebreaker at the Briny. It seems like it...after Adventure Day III...and all the other events since our last mass gathering.

We're still working on selecting a new location, but shouldn't we have one more outdoor meet & greet at our favorite haunt

A plethora of fun loving adventurists of all kinds will be gathering for this extraordinary occasion, in which greetings and hospitality take place in massive proportions.
Join us for an hour or more if you like. Come early or late. You can even bring a friend (or three), we always accept more. Whether you are new to our group or are well known, extend a hand and give a smile. (Remember Jim Frazer's famous "Hello! How are you?" message?) We think you will find that being a member of Travel & Adventure, The Best Meetup Group in All of Florida is much like our softball games where "Everyone Hits, Nobody Strikes Out."

The Briny is a very relaxing Irish Pub located on The New River on Riverwalk, just to the east of Riverfront in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. We will be meeting outdoors under the awning next to the Great White Shark. Live music usually starts around 8pm. The bar has a full liquor selection and we are given a drink special. The Briny loves us, show your love back by taking good care of your servers and returning another time for a dinner which you will find delicious.

FROM I-95

Take I-95 to Broward Blvd. - Exit east (toward downtown)
Follow Broward Blvd. to Brickell Avenue (SW 1st Avenue) and turn right (south) straight into Las Olas Riverfront.
The one way road curves left onto West Las Olas Blvd.
Go a half block, turn right at signs for PARKING GARAGE across from Automatic Slim's (before you reach Andrews Ave).
The Meetup location is actually connected to the same building as the parking lot but on the South side facing the River. If it's your first time there (really? perhaps you just don't remember.... ;-), take the elevator down to the first level, veer left of the garage office to the sidewalk, then follow the sidewalk south to the river. The patio of the Briny will be on your right at the south side of the building.

FROM US-1

Turn west on Broward Blvd. (towards I-95 and the railroad tracks)
Turn left (south) on Brickell Avenue(SW 1st AV) Go straight into Las Olas Riverfront
