Since we'll all in the neighborhood after tubing the Ichetucknee on Saturday...
Manatee Springs is a wonderful escape from these hot summer days. Swimming is available year round, come try the waters of this fountain of youth! The constant 72 degrees of Manatee Springs blue waters always provide a refreshing experience. This crystal clear spring is also open for SCUBA diving; proof of certification required and you must have a buddy. Canoe and kayak rentals are available as well as a tasty meal from our Visitor Services Provider at the camp store and Manatee Cafe. When rainy weather returns, flooding can occur suddenly so please call the park before your visit to confirm that springs swimming is available.
Summer brings heat and some other unpleasant visitors. Be prepared for biting insects, remember our state parks support a variety of wildlife.
Manatee Springs is a place to escape from technology! Cell phones and satellite dishes have limited to no use here in this river bottomland area. Take advantage of this opportunity to reduce stress and experience nature. Relax..Renew...Re-create yourself!

Welcome to Manatee Springs State Park
A first magnitude spring, over 100 million gallons of water gush forth daily at Manatee Springs. In winter, manatees swim upriver to spend the night in the warm waters of the headspring. Popular for snorkeling and scuba diving, the headwaters of the spring are also a great spot for swimming. The spring run forms a sparkling stream that meanders through hardwood wetlands to the Suwannee River. A concession provides beverages, snacks and canoe/kayak rentals. Children can enjoy a playground in the picnic area. Hiking and biking are available on the north end trail system. The full-facility campground is surrounded by hardwood trees and sandhills. Reserve a canoe or kayak by calling Suwannee River Tours at (352) 490-9797. Located at the end of State Road 320, off U.S. 98, six miles west of Chiefland.
