Having been to the Berkshire Botanical Garden a few weeks ago and having found it gorgeous, I was surprised to discover that there is one in Framingham. Garden in the Woods is a botanical garden started 107 years ago. Their website writes: This living museum — New England's premier wildflower showcase — has more than 1500 native species and cultivars, with 200 rare and endangered native specimens. Located 20 miles west of Boston, the Garden displays an ever-changing tapestry of flowers and foliage.

The nearest train stations are two in Framingham several miles from the Garden. I could probably pick up one or two people there. If anyone wants to give someone a ride, please write that in your RSVP and where you will be coming from. If there is interest, we could go for a bite to eat afterwards. Admission is $8.00

We have several longer distance New England trips in the planning stages so keep your eyes open for them!
