What a nice day spent with folks and our 4-footed friends. Everyone was well behaved, and the humans seemed to get along, too!!

Yes, there is a place to swim if the water isn't too cold and we've had enough rain! The dogs love it too. No worries on the sneaks / sportswear... This is an easy hike, great for beginners. For more advanced hikes, you'll want to consider proper footwear. Be sure to bring water & food for after the hike.

Is there a place to swim? Also, I'm an amateur hiker is there any gear I need to buy/bring other than sneaks and sportswear??

I'm glad you were just joking! "A cat at a dog walking event?", I was thinking. Too funny. :)

Hi Dave, It's probably not the greatest idea to bring the cat... Not unless your cat is one of those rare ones that doesn't get scared of dogs wanting to hunt it down and sniff its butt. :)

Can I bring my pet cat on the hike or is that a bad idea with all of the dogs?

Thanks for the suggestion, Olivia. Yes, you should bring water for the pooch. There is a creek and if we cross it or hike along side of it, the dogs love to drink from it but it's prob best to bring water as well.

I can't wait for this. What a great chance to socialize our doggies as well as ourselves! I was just thinking if you have a dog not used to hiking don't forget to bring water as 1 1/2 to 2 hours will be a long hike for him or her.

A great first adventure! A nice long hike with new people was exactly what I was hoping for. I am looking forward to many new adventures with this group. They all seem really nice and fun!
    •  Bow Wow! Four paws up! that Buddy sure was a stud, he was sniffing me up all day mmmm... My man pet Andy says that humans don't do that in public. Oh my Dog, you don't know what youre missing. Those 3 other pups .... They can scratch my belly anytime. Andy called me a cougar... Silly Man, I'm a bitch not a cougar. So many humans w/o pet owners, so sad. Have hope somewhere there's a dog to take care of you. Here's sniffing you kid. -Cocco
    •  Ahhh memories - Mark making out w./ Reese's Peanut Butter cups, food fight/throwing cherries, Ocelot Face kissing the girls, beautiful weather, me in my suntan lotion tribal mask, nice pooches (like to pet the warm fur), Michelle hitting people with her H2O bottle and then having the nerve to ask for food @ lunch time, Natasha the Super Great Organizer ...good times, good times!!
    •  The weather was awesome, I really like hanging out w/ my new friends. Dave had a secret but he finally "let the cat out of the bag" at lunch, you had to be there, thanks to Natasha I had another great day w/ nature and forget about work.
    •  It was a wonderful day weatherwise and socially. Would enjoy another walk in that park, possibly taking another of the trails.
    •  What a great group of people! It was a perfect day weather wise and the dogs were well behaved. Everyone was super nice! We had a wonderful time!
