Hotels in NYC are prohibitively expensive. Typically, I stay in a motel near the train station in Milton CT Friday night, then take the train to the city in the morning. I take the train home and either spend another night in hte motel or more commonly drive home Saturday night. There is another option, and that is renting a 2-BR condo in NYC near the museum. More expensive than the motel-metro train opton, it is still reasonable, we'd be right in NYC Saturday morning, and we could spend Sunday morning in the city also. However, there is the issue of how to handle arrangements when the trip contains both men and women. Before posting a weekend trip to NYC, I'd like to get a feel for what the "rules" should be and what arrangements we would have to make in order for a trip like this to work.
