This meetup will feature a brief slideshow of moss-covered abbeys, windswept views from the Cliffs of Moher, ancient dolmens, Dublin parks, and other Celtic wonders. The presenter has been to Ireland half a dozen times and has tips and tales to share, and looks forward to hearing the same from others who have trod the Old Sod. Find out how to save money on lodging in Ireland by renting an entire house for much less per person than staying in B&Bs, why you should visit Dingle, how to take self-guided walks on the Ring of Kerry, the difference between high tea and afternoon tea, how to properly kiss the Blarney Stone, whether you should travel by rental car or busses and trains, what the Irish mean by "soft weather," and why you should never (never!) have more than two pints of Guinness on the Guinness brewery tour. The location of the meetup will be emailed the week before to everyone who RSVPs. Please bring an appetizer. Guinness and Harp beer will be served, but feel free to bring your favorite libation. See you there and "cead mile failte" (a hundred thousand welcomes)!
