Our discussion, at the meeting, will center around keeping airfare costs reasonable in a climate of rising fuel prices and a declining US Dollar. We will;
Discuss a general strategy of keeping transportation low including using alternative modes of transportation, alternative airports, useful websites, flexible searches, creating a personal hub city, and any number of other topics we will find ourselves wondering off into.
Highlight a couple of websites, namely airfarewatchdog.com and momondo.com in particular.
Discuss Airlines special programs such as SWA's Seniors program.
Talk about finding and using alternative airports to save money.
Name some new low cost airlines that have emerged around the world in the last few years and specify the areas they serve.
I will put together two handouts prior to the meeting an post the to our homepage as Files. One will be a general strategy of checking for bargains. The second will be useful websites. I would appreciate your input both by email and at our meeting.
