Banff / Lake Louise

user 5166076 Group Organizer Houston, TX Post #: 16	Ladies, I would like to put together a trip to Banff/Lake Louise and the Canadian Rockies. (If you are not familiar with this area visit www.banff.com for lots of pics and info) I am considering doing this on Labor Day weekend. I am thinking of leaving on Thursday, August 28 and returning on Sept 1. The cost is looking to be as follows: -Airfare on Continental or AirCanada is approx $550 from Houston to Calgary -Split the cost of a rental car - A minivan that would hold 7 people is about $315 for the entire stay -Local hotel rooms are varied, but I am interested in staying at the Banff Inn. They have offered us a group rate of $139 CAD per night for a room with 2 beds and breakfast is included. www.banffinn.com (not to mention the owner of this property is adorable and will go out of his way to assist us) Much of the things to see and do in this area are free. We would see a wild life including elk, deer, moose, bears etc You can go horseback riding, visit a spa, golf, rafting, hiking...or just sit back, relax and enjoy the cooler temperatures and wonderful food. Please post if this interests you. August/September are peak months for this area so I would like to get space held if you are interested. I will book and confirm the hotel space and rental cars. You will be responsible for handling your own airfare as so many of us have frequent flier miles etc. Once we have the group together we will work on organizing flights times so that we arrive as close together as possible. This trip will require you to have a passport. Bottom line - the trip is looking to be about $800 per person based on 6 people traveling a total of 5 days and 4 nights, price includes air, car and hotel with breakfast **I am probably going to open this trip up to include some men.
